Vieux Mot Recipe

Recipe By Cocktail Party

Its hard to remember a time when elderflower liqueur wasnt featured in a half-dozen drink recipes at every cocktail lounge the world over but before the release of st. Germain in 2007, almost nobody had ever heard of the stuff The vieux mot, from don lee at pdt, was one of the first cocktail recipes to take advantage of this new hotness, and over a decade later its still a classic. Elderflower liqueur is sometimes called bartenders ketchup for how often a bit of it is added to a drink as an accent but in this drink, elderflowers delicate, juicy flavor is featured front and center. Protip: if your french is a little rusty, try pronouncing the name as view moe. Close enough
