A super healthy dish from my 'grandma's pitara'. This protein-rich, iron-rich 'ulundhu kazhi' is one of the age-old recipes of thirunelveli district in south tamilnadu. The amazing combination of black urad dhal, palm jaggery and til oil, makes this kazhi incredible in taste and rich in flavour. It is best suited for women and girls as it strengthens hip bones and uterus. This is specially prepared and fed to young girls during their first mensuration.
