Thukpa popular in various parts of Nepal,Bhutan and States of Sikkim,Assam,Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh in North east India. It is a Tibetan noodle soup, which originated in the eastern part of Tibet. Amdo thukpa (especially thenthuk) is a famous variant amongst the Tibetans and the people of Nepal. One of the most popular varieties is called Putang Thukpa, meaning noodles made of buckwheat which is made into a curry and flavoured with yak meat or dry fish.
