Sheer Khurma" is a Farsi word where sheer means milk and Khurma means dates. It is a Persian origin dish which in its ancient form used to be a kind of dry fruit milk in which seviyan were added on a later stage. It is mainly a Mughal sweet known as Sheer korma which is a dessert of vermacelli pudding made during the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

3 tablespoon clarified butter/ghee
1 tablespoon Chironji
1 tablespoon chopped pista
1 tablespoon chopped almonds
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
5 No.s chopped dates
1 liter full fat milk

Directions : Sheer Khurma Recipe

STEP 1.1 in a pan take 1.5 tbsp ghee and add dry fruits in it.

STEP 2.2 roast them for a while and then add milk, saffron, cardamom powder and sugar in it.

STEP 3.3 cook it till the milk reduces to half.

STEP 4.4 in another pan heat 1.5 tbsp clarified butter and add seviyan in it.

STEP 5.5 roast it for 2-3 minutes at medium flame.

STEP 6.6 add the reduced milk to the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes.

STEP 7.7 take it out in a bowl and garnish with some dry fruits and your sheer khurma is ready to serve.
