Malpua Recipe
Malpua is a type of pancake which originated from the Indian subcontinent and is popular in India, Nepal, Bangladesh. Malpua is a festive delight and traditionally made in Indian households during festivals like holi ,Diwali, Navratri etc. Malpua is popular in Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharastra, Bihar, Orrissa and West Bengal. Though making process is different in each state. Amalu - a popular version of malpua is a part of the Chappan bhog offered to Lord Jaggannath in Puri. Apart from flour, fruit, khoya, coconut are also used in making Malpuas. Even various flours are used in making malpuas.
Malpuas can be served with sugar syrup and rabdi also.
