The popular Hainanese chicken rice dish of flavourful boiled chicken served with fried ginger and green onions topped along with steamed rice. Hainanese chicken rice is a Southeast Asian dish of poached chicken and seasoned rice, served with chili sauce and usually with cucumber garnishes. It was created by immigrants from Hainan in southern China and adapted from the Hainanese dish Wenchang chicken.
