Freekeh With Chicken Recipe

Recipe By Asian Food Network

Freekeh or farik is a cereal-like food made from green durum wheat. This wheat grain is roasted, dried and rubbed to create its distinct flavor. Its right up there with quinoa in terms of being a super food, with 6 times the amount of fiber compared to the same amount of quinoa. Most commonly found in levantine and north african cuisines, freekeh has smoky, earthy flavors and chew textures, which make it a great grain to pair with chicken.
