Bistek Tagalog Recipe

Recipe By Asian Food Network

Thought to be the filipino way of pronouncing the american dish beef steak, bistek tagalog is a type of beef stew that is popular in the philippines and can be found on the menu of many carinderias (food stalls or roadside cafs). Thin beef slices are marinated in a citrus-soy sauce blend before cooked with lots of onion, resulting in a dish that is hearty and flavorful. Serve this up with a bowl of white rice for a quick lunch or dinner.
