This bake is very close to my heart. My parents (like all parents) were fighting a losing battle to get us kids to eat fruit and veg. I really dug my heels in when it came to greens, but i never had any objections to banana, not because i liked bananas in particular, but because it always came cut up in little pieces with a sprinkle of brown sugar on top. Admittedly, not the healthiest of things to do to a fruit, but it got us to eat it Maybe mum should have tried that trick on my peas as well. So these are a little, okay, a lot further towards unhealthy than a fresh banana with a little sugar on top, but my god are they yummy Theyre soo good in fact that i've had to implement a new rule. No baking when hungry I ate way too much batter, and then way too many dumplings. I don't think i'll be needing dinner tonight
