For all those who don’t know much about Bollywood director-screenwriter Zoya Akhtar, we must tell you that she is a hardcore food lover. You might not find her posting as often on social media or giving us a glimpse of her daily nibbles, but the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director doesn’t let good food get away from her sight.

All this while, she was busy shooting for the Hindi adaptation of the Archie comics, titled The Archies, featuring several newbies from Bollywood families. Finally, the shoot came to an end yesterday, and the team celebrated the day with a huge cake. Zoya took to her Instagram feed to give us a sneak peek into the celebrations. We could see loads of pictures of the entire crew who worked on the film, as well as members of the cast along with Zoya cutting a delicious, frosting-covered cake. The vanilla-flavoured cake with a strawberry icing on the rim looked droolworthy. The director captioned the post saying, “Archieeeesssssss! Film Wrap. Best Crew. Best Cast. Only Gratitude”.

Zoya has revealed earlier in several media interviews that she loves eating, and is a professional eater but not a cook. Some of her favourite dishes that you’d find her gorging on a Sunday are Paya, Dhansak and Biryani.

Her brother, actor Farhan Akhtar, and she enjoy home-cooked food made by their mother as much as they enjoy eating out. Moreover, she also has a sweet tooth and relishes Indian sweets like Boondi Laddoo and Kaju Katli the most. To maintain her physique, she balances her non-vegetarian diet with vegetables like potatoes and aubergines.
