Generally, the dosa that I eat at restaurants is quite big in size, big enough to fill my stomach. In fact, I sometimes find it difficult to finish that too. At home, I generally have a smaller dosa because we have a small tawa which is used to make rotis. Masala dosa seems to be my favourite. However, there is obviously a limit to what I can eat. After a range of bizarre food combinations and viral food experiments, another thing that catches the eye are food challenges. Like this dosa challenge that is going at a Delhi eatery now.
Housed in the Uttam Nagar locality of Delhi, the Swami Ji Shakti Sagar Restaurant has made it to the viral news with its 10-feet long dosa. The restaurant started out as a small shop, selling dosas and moved on to become a full-fledged restaurant with a variety of small and jumbo dosas being sold. Their dosas range anywhere between INR 500 to INR 1500, the jumbo dosas priced higher. Little did we know that they would end up making such a long dosa challenge. Excited to know about the challenge? Take a look at the dosa first.

The long dosa is stuffed with loads of potato masala and served with umpteen amount of sambhar and a variety of chutneys. The challenge is to finish the 10-feet long dosa in 40 minutes, but all alone. If a single person is able to complete the task within the stipulated time, he/she would be rewarded with a huge cash prize of INR 71,000. Isn’t that a tempting offer?
Till now, no one has been able to successfully complete the challenge. Do you think you can do it? Go ahead and do let us know. But while you are prepping for it, here are some dosas that you can eat at home.
1. Set Dosa
Comes in a pack of three, these set dosas are small and round miniature versions of dosa. They are made with rice flour and shaped like a pancake. The mini dosas are paired with sambhar and chutney.
2. Ghee Roast Dosa
As the name suggests, the dosa is oozing ghee inside out. The crispiness and crunchiness of the dosa is defined by the amount of ghee that goes into its making. Raw rice and gobhindo bhog rice are used for the preparation of the dosa batter.
3. Mysore Masala Dosa
The dosa is slathered with a special mysore chutney along with a potato stuffing inside it. This makes it a spicy affair.
