World Milk Day is celebrated every year on June 1 to raise awareness about the importance of milk. The campaign was initiated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2001 in order to mark the important contributions of the dairy sector to sustainability, economic development, livelihoods and nutrition. Milk is often termed as a complete meal as it comes loaded with nutrients like protein, Vitamin A, B1, B2, B12 and D, potassium and magnesium. Thanks to a rich nutritional profile, it has been recognized as an important part of our daily diet, across all cultures. From our daily cup of tea and coffee to shakes, smoothies and ice cream, milk has numerous uses but is most often enjoyed all by itself.
But if you are a coffee enthusiast like me, you’ll agree that milk tastes the best when mixed with a bit of caffeine. So, if you love your coffee with milk, we’ve got a surprise!
