Ingredients
- ½ cup chopped onions
- ½ teaspoon chopped ginger
- 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
- 2 green chilies (chopped)
- 1 cup peas
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- Cloves
- Salt to taste
Method
- Grind the following ingredients:
½ cup chopped onions
½ teaspoon chopped ginger
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
2 green chilies (chopped)
- The paste will be ready keep it aside.
- Add 1 cup of peas and grid them, without using water.
- Heat the pan & add 2 table spoons of mustard oil
- Now add ¾ cup of chopped potato and sauté it golden brown on low to medium heat.
- Now add 1 tej patta (Indian bay leaf), 3 cloves and ½ teaspoon cumin seeds on the same pan until the spices crackle and splutter and then the onion paste and stir well
- Now add ⅓ cup of diced tomatoes, Mix and sauté till the tomatoes soften.
- Add all the dry spices and mix well and add the peas.
- After that add 3 tablespoons of fresh coriander and add some water and salt.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes on low to medium heat and will notice oil separating and the gravy is done now.
- Now add the fried potatoes and garam masala powder. Mix them for about a minute.
Serve it with rotis, pooris or steamed rice or plain paratha, can add lemon and sliced onions as per your choice!
