Mehrauli happens to be one of the seven ancient cities that make up the present state of Delhi. While Mehrauli is much older than Qutub Minar itself, this Delhi Sultanate marvel has become synonymous with Mehrauli over time. Being one of Delhi’s oldest monuments, the ever-so-majestic Qutub Minar witnesses an outpour of visitors on a daily basis. Many, however, are content with the view from a little afar as well nowadays. From plush designer stores to luxe restaurants and bakeries, so much has sprouted in the vicinity of Qutub Minar, particularly in the Kalka Das Marg, that we do not mind waking up a little early to lap up on the bustling energy, while grabbing a bite or two of our favourite croissant. That’s right, ‘brunching’ has picked up and how among Delhi gourmands, and these restaurants in Mehrauli are taking things a notch up.
Miso Sexy
We went on a little ‘crawl’ on one fine Sunday afternoon, the first destination in itinerary was Miso Sexy, followed by Bougie and Diablo, all located within 500m radius of each other. Miso Sexy and Bougie are two of the latest entrants in Mehrauli, sharing the common terrace both offer the most striking view of Qutub. Miso Sexy is a contemporary Asian restaurant, serving up a mix of delicacies this summer such as Asparagus sushi, cream cheese mushroom dumplings, salmon ceviche, California crab sushi, lamb sliders, eggplant caviar, bruschetta and more.
