Global sensation Priyanka Chopra has her hands full with interesting projects. She would be starring in an action-packed TV series Citadel opposite Richard Madden (of Game of Thrones fame). Closer home, the actor will be producing a film starring herself, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. Priyanka - who rang in her 40th birthday, recently with husband, singer-songwriter Nick Jonas, her cousins, and friends - sure knows how to spend her day at leisure. On Sunday, Priyanka decided to lay back and enjoy a lovely brunch by the pool. The actor, who is a restaurateur herself, also identifies as a major foodie. In fact, as per reports, Abishek Bachchan gave her the nickname ‘Piggy Chops’, because of her great appetite.

In one of her older interviews, Priyanka said that she was very blessed to have a good metabolism, and can never stop eating to her hearts’ content. Being a true Punjabi at heart, Priyanka loves her parathas and tikkas. But on Sunday, her breakfast had a rather European feel.

Her table comprised many cups of black coffees, fresh waffles, crispy fried bacon strips, avocados, and pineapple. The table had a right mix of fresh fruits, baked goods and fried food, proving yet again, that if you strike that balance, you can have anything you want in the day. Priyanka has never advocated crash dieting and fad diets, she is in fact a person who would eat multiple small meals a day, which helps her metabolism in good shape.

She clarified on an episode of Koffee With Karan that she is not, or was never a vegetarian. However, she likes to keep a lot of her food plant-based. When she was shooting for Citadel, she spoke about her delish work-lunch which was a loaded falafel. It’s a veg patty or fritter-like snack from the Middle East that is made with chickpeas. It could be eaten with hummus, or wrapped in pita bread smeared with hummus, and filled with veggies.  Well, here’s hoping that your plate is always full with everything your heart desires PeeCee.
