Ingredients: 

Cholar dal soaked for a couple of hours - 1/2 cup 

Ginger - 1 small knob (about 1/2 inch)

Green chilles - 3

Turmeric - 1 teaspoon 

Salt or to taste - 1 teaspoon 

Onion chopped - 1 medium sized 

Oil for frying

Method:

Place the soaked lentils, ginger, green chilies, turmeric and salt with 2 tablespoons of water in a bowl, and blend to a paste. 

Mix in the onions. Place about 1/2 cup oil in a small wok and heat until smoking.

Drop the batter in small spoonful's and fry on medium low heat until golden brown.

Fry for 3-4 mins and serve hot.
