It is tough to not find a momo stall in the metro cities of India, especially Delhi or Mumbai. While Delhi might have started the trend of street-side momos, Mumbai seems to be not far behind. Such is the popularity of this Tibetan Street food that people have come up with many different varieties of it. Piping hot, juicy and delicious, momo is a dumpling delicacy that is served with a side of spicy red chutney, and is one of the top choices for many of us when it comes to gorging on something indulgent. The variations that we have today are simply the cherry on the cake. From tandoori momos, malai momos to gravy momos, we’ve got it all. And they come in all sorts of sizes. If Delhi recently created ripples for 'Jumbo momos' which is equivalent to about 10 momos, Mumbai seems to have gone a step ahead with Bahubali Gold Momo. Gold Momo, yes you read that right.  

Made by Messy Adda Cafe in Mumbai, this gold momo has gone viral after a Reel about it was uploaded by Instagram user @whatafoodiegirl, wherein she claimed it to be "India's first gold momo". In the video, we can see that the huge 'Gold Momo' weighing two kilograms comes in a round steel box, topped with chopped carrots in the middle and edible gold all around it. In addition to this, in the caption the blogger reveals that it is a combo and comes with one orange mint mojito, two chocolate momos and three dipping sauces- spicy chutney, mayonnaise and mint chutney. The momo is "filled with super delicious veggies along with Mozerella cheese and edible 24 karat gold", the caption read. With this unique spin to our regular momos, the Bahubali Gold Momo has indeed caught the eyes of many.

The massive Bahubali Momo obviously caught the eye of many ever since the video was uploaded, which garnered over one million views and more than 67k likes and several comments. Take a look at the video:

While many people were excited to see the Bahubali Gold Momo and thought it would be quite scrumptious, some said it is "overpriced" and "would not taste good."

One of the users said, " Crazyyy but innovative ". Some other users also wrote that it was a “waste of money” and that it "Doesn't make any sense, the gold plating doesn't effect on the taste, flavour, texture or aroma, neither it's going to make it tastier."
