With the monsoon season arriving in many parts of India, it is time to bid goodbye to the scorching summers. And with the end of summer season, comes the end of mangoes too. Rightly referred to as the ‘king of fruits’, mangoes are in fact one of the very few things that most of us love about this otherwise unbearable season.
And there are so many reasons to love mangoes, starting with the huge variety - including langda, chausa, dussehri, amrapali, and more - to the delicacies made using the fruit - such as smoothies, chaat, dals, salads, and more. And we leave no chance to make the most of it. It seems to be the same case for Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit Nene, who is currently feeling sad about the fact that the ‘mango season’ is ending soon.
The actor, who often shares her thoughts and food shenanigans on social media, took to Instagram to pen her feelings about the passing mango season. Sharing two pictures on Instagram, Madhuri expressed her disappointment. While the first image features her embracing a tableful of mangoes, the second image has her posing, in front of what looks like some delicious mango desserts. “Tu hai mera (you are mine),” Madhuri starts her note, which further reads, “Can’t believe mango season is nearly done. Agle saal ka intezar rahega (will be waiting for next year).” Take a look at the complete post:
Sweet, isn’t it? And more than that, it’s super relatable. Mango lovers would completely agree with Madhuri’s thoughts about waiting for them for the next season. Speaking of mangoes, did you know about the world’s costliest mangoes? Well, a couple from MP hired four guards and six dogs to protect just two trees. After all, those trees bore seven Miyazaki mangoes that are said to be one of the world’s most expensive varieties of fruit, and are native to Japan. Incredible, isn’t it?
