Fast-food chain Chipotle, changed their name to Chicotle on Twitter, sending netizens into a frenzy. But most of all, made the BTS Army super happy. Wondering why? The Mexican food chain - known for its burritos, tacos and burrito bowls - was prompted to do that after Jeon Jungkook of South Korean BTS band was seen in a video calling the brand ‘Chicotle’. Yes, that happened.

In a video released on Sunday by BANGTANTV, the official YouTube channel of BTS, the seven members of the boy band can be seen on the set of The Late Late Show with James Corden, having lunch after shooting for the Crosswalk concert. In the two-minute clip, Jungkook is seen opening a bowl of Chipotle and inspecting the contents inside it. “How do you eat this? What is this, Chicotle?” he asked a member on set, mispronouncing Chipotle.

He is then joined by Jung Hoseok (known as J-Hope). “I thought they said chocolate at first,” he says. As J-Hope and Jungkook relish their food, Jungkook appreciates the food while taking a big bite, “I love this. I want to eat this every day.” One after the other, members join in including Jin, Suga and Jimin, who also seem to enjoy the delicious Mexican food. The members curiously add in the variety of sauces to the mix, except V who ordered a hamburger for himself. Take a look at the video:

The video went viral as soon as it was posted, and the fast food chain Chipotle seems to have taken the cue and took full advantage of it. The chain changed their name to Chicotle on Twitter as they took to the microblogging site to wish good morning to the ‘tannies’ on Sunday. ‘Tannies’ is a word used to refer to the members of BTS as a whole by fans. See their tweet:

This one simple tweet has garnered more than 66.1k likes and thousands of retweets. Take a look at some of the reactions from the fans:

It definitely sent the BTS fans into a tizzy. And to surprise them more, Chipotle launched a special offer exclusively for ARMY (the BTS fandom is known as ARMY) after a few BTS fans joked about it.

Interestingly, Chipotle is not the only brand that has responded to a BTS development. In December last year, McDonald too changed its Twitter user name to ‘ab_ _efghijkl_nopqrstuvwxyz’ in order to imitate Jungkook’s Instagram username which is ‘abcdefghi__lmnopqrstuvwxyz’. Sounds interesting, isn’t it?

For the unversed, BTS also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band that was formed in 2010. It is a seven-member band that has broken many records since its debut in 2012. From having the first K-pop song in history to debut at No. 1 on the US Billboard “Hot 100” chart, to a couple of Guinness World Records for their incredibly engaged fanbase, BTS definitely has made it big. No wonder the biggest fast-food chains are lapping up on their popularity.
