It has been a wonderful week for lovers across the world, or at least those who like celebrating the Valentine's week. As we all would know, Valentine's Day is celebrated every year on 14th February. What originally started as a day to honour Saint Valentine, one of the first Christian martyrs, became a memorable day among lovers, young and old.

Over the years, the week running up to Valentine’s Day also became a reason enough to be glee. The week starts with Rose Day falls on 7th February, and on 13th February, people observe the ‘Kiss Day’. Now you obviously do not require a designated day to shower your lover with kisses, but you can definitely make the occasion special by gifting your partner or someone you adore a bunch of ‘Kiss cookies’. What are kiss cookies you ask? These dainty cookies were traditionally topped with ‘Hershey’s Kisses’. In 1957, Freda Smith from Gibsonburg, Ohio pressed a Hershey Kiss into a peanut butter cookie, and created history. The cookie, which was officially named, ‘Peanut Butter Blossom’ became an instant sensation.
