The best thing about popcorns is everyone on this planet loves them. You can do a lot of experiments with a simple popcorn. But, this spicy sweet popcorn recipe is my new favorite addictive snack.
How to make spicy sweet popcorn at home:
Ingredients
For making popcorn:
- 8 tablespoons of butter
- ½ cup popcorn kernels
To spice it up:
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper powder
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ½ brown sugar power
- 1 tablespoon honey
Recipe
- Take a deep saucepan and heat the butter on medium flame.
- Add popcorn kernels to the butter and the kernels should start to pop in about 2 minutes.
- Shake the pan frequently without removing the lid.
- Continue cooking until the popping slows down. Turn off the gas and set the pot aside.
- Now the next step is to prepare the spicy-sweet mixture. Take a bowl and mix cinnamon powder, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, sugar powder, and cayenne pepper powder.
Tip: You can also keep this mixture for later use.
- Toss this mixture into the hot buttery popcorn. Put honey and mix it well with the spices. Once the popcorn has cooled, serve immediately.
You can also store it in an airtight container for a few days.
