No matter how hard we try, we cannot just stop having desserts. Be it cakes, cookies, or Indian sweets like Rasmalai or Ladoo, we crave just a tiny portion of it right after our meal. There is a common mentality that desserts take a long-time to prepare and thus, we prefer buying them from the market rather than making them at home. But actually, it is not like that. Do you know you can make some desserts in less than 15 minutes? Yes, you heard it right. Let us see how can you do it.
Instant Coconut Ladoo
Coconut laddoos are tasty little delights that you can make in just 10 to 15 minutes. They are perfect to be served to guests and just require two main ingredients i.e. coconut and sweetened condensed milk.
Ingredients
- 2 cups grated coconut + ¼ cup for topping the ladoo
- ¾ cup sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cardamom pods (powdered)
- Pistachios to garnish
Method
- Take a pan and add grated coconut and condensed milk
- Mix well and cook on a low flame for 3 to 4 minutes
- When the mixture gets thick and combined, check for sweetness
- Add powdered cardamom
- Mix well and turn off the flame
- Set aside and let it cool
- When slightly cold, make round balls
- Roll the laddoos with grated coconut
- Garnish with pistachios
Instant Peda
There are different versions of peda and every single one tastes absolutely delicious. Though peda takes some in preparation, we have brought you a quick recipe for this instant peda made with fewer ingredients.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk powder
- Pistachios or almonds to garnish
Method
- Melt the butter in the microwave or stove
- Take a pan, add sweetened condensed milk and milk powder to the melted butter
- Mix well and microwave for three minutes. Remove every minute
- For gas, cook on low flame for 2 minutes on low flame and keep stirring
- When in thicker consistency, set aside the mixture to cool for 5 minutes
- Apply ghee to your palm and make a small ball with your hands
- Flatten the ball and place an almond or pistachio at the center
- Repeat the process
- Serve or keep it in the fridge
Chocolate chip mug cake
Chocolate cookies are something we cannot say no to. And we don’t like sharing it as well. So, this is the perfect recipe for you. Not only it will be ready in a couple of minutes but because of being in a mug, you won’t have to share it.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp butter
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp chocolate chips
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Take a large mug and add butter to it
- Melt the butter in the microwave for 15 to 30 seconds
- Take it out, add sugar and brown sugar. Stir to combine
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture. Stir
- Add in the chocolate chips
- Put the cup inside the microwave and heat for another 1 to 2 minutes until cooked.
- You can also check by inserting a tooth into the center to see if it has cooked or not
- Once cooked, serve
