However, we have come across 3-morning drinks that help start your day on a healthy note! They hydrate, energize your body and sets your mood high, so sip it up! 

1. Cinnamon Tea

Cinnamon tea promotes weight loss, controls blood sugar levels, and even prevents cancer with its potent antioxidant properties. How to make cinnamon tea?

Ingredients :

  • One glass water 
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder 
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Take a pan, add water, bring to boil it, then add cinnamon powder.
  2. Once the colour of the water changes, turn the heat off.
  3. Strain the liquid to the cup. 
  4. Add some honey and stir; now serve this warm! 

2. Badam Kahwa

This is a traditional Kashmiri beverage prepared with badam (almonds). They are a good source of essential healthy fat, nutrients, and protein. How to make Badam Kahawa? 

Ingredients :

  • 2 bags of green tea
  • 3 tbsp almond slivers 
  • 2 cardamom 
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder 
  • 2 cloves 
  • 2 tbsp honey 
  • 7-8 Kesar strands 

Method:

  1. Take a pan, add 4 cups of water, bring to a boil and add cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, and Kesar into it. 
  2. Simmer the water for 3-4 minutes. Then add honey and green tea bags. 
  3. Let it continue for 2-3 more minutes. After this, immediately remove the tea bags with the help of tongs. 
  4. Turn the flame off, strain the tea into a cup and add almonds slivers.

Your refreshing badam kahwa is ready; serve warm!

3. Ragi Malt

Ragi malt is a traditional drink high in dietary fiber that promotes digestion and is a good substitute for regular tea or coffee. In addition, Ragi or finger millet is loaded with iron and proteins, strengthening and preparing your body to face a long day. How to make ragi malt?

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp ragi flour
  • 1 cup water/ milk 
  • 1 pinch cardamom powder 
  • 1 tbsp jaggery powder 
  • 1 tbsp dry fruit powder (optional)

Method:

  1. In a small pan, add little water or milk and ragi flour, mix it well. 
  2. Now, gently stir the mixture and dissolve all the lumps. 
  3. Once it starts thickens up, add dry fruit powder, cardamom, jaggery and mix up well. 
  4. Boil it for 5-7 minutes once it is done—strain into your coffee mug. 

Your ragi malt is ready, served warm!
