Pyaaz Ki Kachori 

Pyaaz kachori and Jaisalmer cannot be separated. Made up of corn flour with masaledar onion stuffing, these kachoris are deep-fried in oil and served with kadhi or aloo ki sabji or chutney. Pyaaz Kachori is one of the most delicious things you can find in Jaisalmer. When served with a hot cup of tea, these kachoris can show you a really good time. 

Dal Baati Churma 


Dal Baati Churma is the pride of Rajasthan but the one you will find in Rajasthan will give you a real taste. It is technically not a street food but complete meal in itself. You can find it in a cart and even in a fancy restaurant. Not just delicious, this dish is highly nutritious. Don’t forget to try it when in Jaisalmer. 

Makhania Lassi

We all love but the famous makhania lassi of Jaisalmer is an absolute treat. This thick lassi is loaded with dry fruits like almonds, cashews and raisins, and dry cherries. It has a thick layer of butter and is creamy and just one glass will not be enough for you. This amazing makhania lassi could be easily found everywhere in this city.  

Mirchi Bhajiya 

Mirchi Bhajiya of Jaisalmer is definitely not for the fainthearted. If you love eating spicy food, Mirchi Bhajiya is something you should grab in Jaisalmer. These deep-fried pakoras of long thick green chilies are amazing and will leave your taste buds tingling with their flavoursome taste.  

Bhang Lassi 

After Makhania lassi, bhang lassi is what you need in Jaisalmer. This savoury sweetened Bhang lassi is made from local cannabis and is quite popular in Jaisalmer. There are few shops in the city of Jaisalmer which sell legally and are authorized to sell bhang lassi. You can try it for a different experience. 

Ghotua Laddoos 

No, we can’t end this discussion without talking about dessert. Ghotua Laddoos are too delicious to handle. Made up of gram flour, sugar, ghee, and condensed milk, these sweets are a result of a 100-year-old- recipe which is a closely guarded secret at the sweet shop I.e., Dhanraj Rawal Bhatia.
