But before giving you this information, let us tell you that most Indians prefer soup in winter compared to any other season. Soups are also quite prominently included in parties, as no one forgets to taste the best appetisers before meals.
So, let’s look at the things that you can add to enhance the taste of soup at home
- Black pepper and asafoetida: Salt and spices alone are not enough to enhance the taste of any soup. If you want to improve its flavour, you can use black pepper powder and asafoetida. You have to put them in the beginning while preparing the soup. If you are making rice water, i.e. maand soup, you can also use one to two spoons of cornflour, black pepper and asafoetida.
- Cashew paste: You can use cashew nuts to enhance your soup’s taste, including cabbage soup. In addition, you can add 1 to 2 boiled potatoes (mashed) to thicken the soup. One to two pinches of cinnamon powder can also be used in all the soups, increasing the taste of the soup. If the soup is more liquid, you can also use curd or yoghurt.
- Coconut or raw milk: Yes, the easiest way to enhance the taste of any soup is to use coconut or raw milk. If you are preparing green soup made of any green vegetable, you can use milk while making it. For example, you can use it to make broccoli, soy or cabbage soup, as these can work to enhance the taste of the soup.
- Cream: Using cream is the best way to increase the taste of any soup by four times. If you are making tomato soup, you can put one to two spoons of cream on top, enhancing its flavour. Similarly, you can use cream to make any other vegetable or even non-veg soup.
