Cooking is an art. But no matter how proficient you are, you must have committed some mistake in the kitchen at some point or the other. One of such mistakes is the excessive burning of cooking utensils due to lack of attention. In the hustle-bustle of daily routine, we often cook for a long time, burning vessels and spoiling food. So, let's learn some easy kitchen hacks that help you clean burnt utensils in minutes and make them shine like never before.

  • Lemon juice: Lemon is known as an essential cleaning agent. Most dishwashing soaps contain lemon ingredients that act as an active ingredient and remove stains and burn marks from dirty dishes. First, rub lemon on the burnt area or spread its juice on the utensils. Then, leave it for some time. The acid present in lemon juice will quickly remove the stain.
  • Coke: Another effective remedy to clean burnt utensils is black coloured soft drinks. For this, you just have to put the coke in the pot and keep the heat on low flame. Then, as the bubbles stop coming out, please remove them from the gas and scrub them with a plastic brush or dish soap to remove the burnt patch. Again, this trick works well on aluminium and steel utensils.
  • Tomato sauce: In minutes, burnt steel pots can be brightened up with tomato sauce. For this, apply a thick layer of tomato sauce to the burnt vessel. Keep this layer in the pot overnight. Clean the pot in the morning with the help of a scrubber, and your pot will shine like never before.
  • Dishwashing liquid: If you use dishwashing liquid to clean utensils, pour it into the burnt vessel and leave it for some time. When this liquid settles down in the pot, scrub it off with a scrub. You can try gently scrubbing the stain with steel wool if you need it.

  • Salt: One of the most effective agents for cleaning a burn from a vessel is salt. For this, take enough salt on a scrub pad and wash the pot with your regular dish soap. The salt works effectively as a cleaning agent and cleans the burnt pot within minutes.
  • Baking soda is a great option to remove stubborn black burn marks from utensils. For this, make water-baking soda paste and soak the burnt vessel in it for at least 15 minutes. After this, wash the dishes with any dish wash soap.
  • Vinegar: It also acts as a suitable cleaning agent and helps clean burnt utensils. Put vinegar in the burnt vessel and leave it for some time. Then clean the pot with hot water, and it will help remove the stains from the pot quickly.
  • Wine: If you have wine or alcohol available in your home, it can be used to clean burnt utensils. Pour the wine into the pot for some time and leave it. After about an hour, clean this vessel with a plastic scrub.
