My fondest memory of Navratri takes me back to childhood when I used to stay extremely excited about going to the fair with my family. I vividly remember how everyone felt super enthusiastic about celebrating Navratri. It was the occasion when my hands were never small enough to bring flowers for Maa Durga. Weaving them beautifully into garlands used to cheer my spirit. I remember, clearly, how my father observed nine days long fast to worship with all devotion during these days. He only preferred eating after offering his evening prayers. But, people in different parts of the country adhere to different ways of keeping fast. Some eat vegetarian food only once a day while others choose falahar to satiate their hunger pangs. Also, there are many who prepare delicious vrat-consumable meals throughout the days of Navratri. One of those tasty yet light on stomach Vrat recipes is pattice. Here's the recipe for Vrat Ke Pattice by Celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar.
