Indian obsession with chaat, especially in summers is nothing new. 

It is tangy, spicy and so apt for the weather too. All you need to do is mix up the makhanas with curd, chutneys and spices and you are good to go. Here’s a little recipe you will enjoy.  

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of makhana
  • 2 tsp ghee
  • 1 cup of curd
  • Dhaniya-Pudina Chutney- 1-2 Tbsp
  • Raw, chopped onions- 1Tbsp
  • Tamarind chutney- 1 Tbsp
  • Red chilly powder as required
  • Roasted cumin powder as required
  • Chaat masala powder as required
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Method:

1. Take a bowl, add curd and whisk with chutneys. Add the roasted makhanas and whisk again

2. Give everything a nice mix, then sprinkle some red chilli powder, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder on top.

3. Add raw onions, followed by coriander leaves. Make sure the coriander leaves are fresh. You can also sprinkle some sev on top.
