Indian Accent has taken Delhi by storm ever since its opening in 2009. Even today, enthusiastic diners rush to secure a booking at the popular restaurant where the kitchen runs under the tutelage of Chef Manish Mehrotra. Chef Manish Mehrotra has been a trailblazer when it comes to fusion food. He combined Indian flavours and culinary traditions with global ingredients and techniques for the menu at Indian Accent, which became an instant hit.
The restaurant has been well known for serving innovative dishes like gol guppa with five waters, potato sphere chaat with white pea ragda, pulled pork phulka taco, meetha aachar pork ribs, ghee roast mutton boti with roomali roti pancake, pao bhaji with kaffir lime butter pao, chicken tikka meatballs and fried prawns with goan red rice pulao. Desserts like the Old Monk rum ball and daulat ki chaat with rose petal chikki have gone on to become classics.
Indian Accent is owned and operated by EHV International, which is part of the Old World Hospitality group. The restaurant has won many accolades, including being at No. 22 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. It has been awarded the Best Restaurant in India by Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants every year from 2015 to 2021. It is also part of the Time Magazine, 100 Great Destinations in the World.
After enjoying success in both Delhi and New York, the restaurant is now set to open in Mumbai. Indian Accent’s Mumbai outlet is expected to open before the end of 2022. It will overlook the fountains at the Dhirubhai Ambani Square at Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex.

The kitchen at Indian Accent Mumbai will be run by Executive Chef Shantanu Mehrotra who has been Executive Chef of Indian Accent, New Delhi since its opening under the guidance of Chef Manish Mehrotra, who is the creator of the menu and has been promoted to Culinary Director. Rijul Gulati will take the position of Head Chef and Varun Sharma, who leads the award-winning bar at EHV’s other restaurant, Comorin, has been appointed to head the bar programme.
To say that Mumbai is about to get lucky would be an understatement. With a restaurant that has taught India what contemporary Indian food means, the city surely has a lot to look forward to.
