This is definitely one of the biggest recognitions that an Indian bar has received, and it means a lot not just to us but even those who have always been working towards ensuring the best experience for its patrons. It has put India on the global map, and we are now counted among the finest bars in the world.

Located in New Delhi’s Greater Kailash II, it’s not the s not the first time that Sidecar made it to the list. The place surely  boasts of some of noteworthy selection of signature cocktails and their new menu named “Dear Delhi” is a reflection of same. Who would have thought to capture Delhi in a glass with cocktails like ‘Gaffar’, ( mix of light rum and sour phalsa syrup)  to ‘Dilli 6’ cocktail (mix of with vodka and Rooh Afza to Khari Baoli; Sadar Bazaar.

Further adding Lama says “We are being appreciated as a country for what we are, who we are, and what we have to offer. Bar experiences are about culture, history and heritage, flavours and rituals, and which country can bring all that to the table better than India. This appreciation gives us the necessary encouragement, confidence, and motivation to raise the bar and keep the Indian flag flying high on the world stage”.

Not to miss the fact that Sidecar’s signature cocktail is also the namesake, that sees house-blend cognac, sandalwood cordial, lemon juice and orange blossom water. The winning team, both Lama and Minakshi believe in building a strong core team and maintain what they are known for.

On quizzed what keeps him going he adds “While it brings a lot of excitement and happiness to us, there is also a strong sense of responsibility that I always strive for to continue being among the best bars in the world, by consistently ensuring the finest hospitality and warmth each time one who walks into Sidecar. This win also paves the way for many such bars and bartenders in India, giving everyone the encouragement and the enthusiasm to believe in whatever they do and to aim higher.
