Soya Manchurian
We know you have had enough manchurian dishes but this one is worth trying. It is not the regular manchurian you have but the much healthier version. See how can you make it.
Method
- Soak 1 cup soya chunks in 3 cups of hot water
- Rise and squeeze them to remove excess water
- Now, add 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, 3 tbsp cornflour, 2 tbsp maida, 1 tsp chili powder, and salt
- You may also add water if required
- Take a pan and heat 4 tbsp oil
- Deep fry the soya chunks until they turn brown
- Transfer the fried soya to a plate and keep it aside
- Now take a kadhai. Heat 3 tbsp oil and add 2 garlic gloves
- Add 3 tbsp onion and 4 tbsp spring onions. Saute well
- Add 1 tbsp chili sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp tomato sauce, and salt to taste
- In the last, add the soy chunks and mix well
- Garnish with coriander leaves and chopped spring onion
- Serve hot
Soya Pulao
If you want to make a quick and easy dish of soya while flaunting your cooking skills, this is a must-try dish for you. Soya pulao gets ready in no time and works even better than your regular pulao dish.
Method
- Soak ½ cup of soya chunks and rinse them once they are spongy
- Take another bowl and soak ½ cup rice
- Take a cooker and add ghee/oil to it
- Add ½ tsp cumin seeds, 2 bay leaves, ½ cinnamon stick, and add 3 cloves
- Add chopped onions and saute them until they turn brown
- Add soya chunks and 2 chopped potatoes. Saute both for sometime
- Add soaked rice and mix well
- Add 2 cups of water and cover the lid
- Cook the rice on a high flame
- After it is done, serve hot.
Soya Bhurji
If you love egg bhurji and want to have something like a dish in veg, soya bhurji is your destination. It tastes so good that you would not be able to guess if it is made of soya chunks or eggs. Here is how you can make it.
Method
- Soak ¾ cup soya granules and squeeze them to remove water
- Take a pan and add oil
- Add 1 tsp cumin seeds and 1 chopped green chili
- Saute well
- Now add chopped capsicum, chopped onion, and chopped tomato
- Add ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp chili powder, and ½ tsp garam masala
- Add salt to taste and mix well
- Now add soaked soya granules and ¼ cup water
- Cook for 3 to minutes
- Serve with roti
Soya Cutlet
We all cutlet and it is a go-to-snack in every other kitty party or get-together. But unlike other cutlets, this is a healthier version of a cutlet. Without wasting any more time, let us see how it can be made.
Method
- Soak 1 cup of soya chunks in hot water and rinse them
- After squeezing excess water, grind them in a blender
- Take a pan and add 1 tbsp oil
- Add 1 chopped ginger, 1 chopped garlic, and add 2 chopped green chilies
- Saute and add spices like ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp chili powder, and 1 tsp coriander powder
- Also, add 1 tsp garam masala and salt. Mix well.
- Now add grind soya chunks and combine them together
- Take a bowl and transfer the mixture to it
- Now add 2 boiled potatoes, a handful of coriander leaves, and salt to taste
- Combine the mixture and make small balls out of them
- Flatten the balls and put them in a bowl with some cornflour and water
- Now, take a plate and add bread crumbs to it
- Roll the cutlets in the bread crumbs after dipping them in the cornflour mixture
- Deep fry the cutlets until brown
- Serve with green chutney or tomato sauce
Soya Chunks Curry
Soya chunks curry would be perfect for dinner. Not only will it be healthy as soya is full of proteins, but it will also be amazingly delicious. See what you need to make this delicious dish at home.
Method
- Soak 1 cup soya chunks and squeeze them to remove extra water
- Take a cooker and add 1 tbsp oil
- Now add 1 cinnamon, 1 bayleaf, 1 tsp cumin seeds, and ½ tsp peppercorns
- Saute well
- After the spices start sputtering, ½ tbsp grated ginger and ½ grated ginger
- Now, add one chopped onion and 2 pureed tomatoes
- Add 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, and ½ tsp red chili powder
- Also, add ½ to Kashmiri red chili powder for great colour, and add ½ tsp garam masala.
- Mix well
- Add soya chunks and mix well
- Add 2 cups of water and let it cook
- After one whistle, let the pressure released
- Check the taste and serve
