We have all heard about and loved Chinese food all our lives, it's our go-to meal when we can't think of anything else. We can't get enough of Chinese food, from fried rice to noodles to chilli chicken, and we're continuously trying new things from their cuisine. Isn't that correct?

But, beyond that, have you ever considered trying 'Chinese desserts'? Shouldn't we at least taste their desserts if their other dishes are so appealing and delicious?

Despite their lack of popularity among Indians, these desserts are worth a try, and believe me you will not be disappointed. For a change, skip the ice cream and try one of these four  desserts:

     Chinese Mango Pudding

This chilled mango pudding is a favourite among many people during the summer. Mango, cream or coconut cream, sugar, and gelatin are used to make this dessert. This is a refreshing treat to enjoy during the summer.

It has a really pleasing appearance, and the best part is that it tastes delicious and melts in our mouth. The texture of this pudding is just like that of panna cotta, and continues to please many people throughout the world.

    Darsaan with Vanilla Ice Cream

It is a dessert made of fried wonton noodles, glazed with honey and served with vanilla ice cream.

It may sound similar to our falooda kulfi ice cream, but it's not the same. You'll enjoy this dessert since it's the perfect balance of crispy and soft. This is a popular Chinese dessert in which wonton noodles are tossed in a wok and fried until golden brown, then glazed with honey syrup and topped with a generous amount of sesame seeds. It tastes best when served with vanilla ice cream.

    Almond cookies

This one is very important in the Chinese culture, since they offer these cookies to their children, close friends, and family during festivals and get-togethers. It's a basic almond cookie that can be served as a dessert or as a snack with tea or coffee in the evenings. This delicacy will undoubtedly appeal to our tastes, as we have a tradition of eating biscuits and cookies with our morning "chai."

    Rice Pudding

It is a classic dessert known as "boot jai goh" that is offered during the Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year. It is quite significant in their country. Rice flour or sweet rice, sugar syrup, and gelatin are used to make this dessert. To make this pudding more scrumptious, red bean paste or dry fruits are occasionally used.
