This is seen in their Chinese New Year celebration that happens in full swing each year and of course not to miss the real authentic Chinese food, that too predominantly focus on breakfast here. That bazaar that opens around 6:30, the specialty of the market if that it’s open only for two hours in morning as post 9 pm that roads get highly crowded. 

Soaked in history and heritage, Terrati Market happens to be Chinese hub of the city. The entrance see sellers loaded with fresh vegetables and fishes, but as you walk pass the lane, the aroma of Soup noodles, shumai, sausages, prawn wafers, stemmed baozi buns, chicken rolls, Pork momo, pork Tai Pao, steamed baozi buns, dumplings (steamed and deep), fish meat ball soups, wonton and lot more fill the street and your senses too since early morning. This living bazaar is a great example of Kolkata’s cosmopolitan culture

Crispy pork belly

Topping the list is the Smoked crispy pork belly that’s done to perfection. .. cooked till crispy and brown, the pork belly seller can be spotted in the adjacent lane to chhatawalla gully. This is an absolute delight for pork lovers

Zung

a very unique and different type of sweet rice that contains meat. The rice along with lentil and pork is wrapped in a bamboo leaf and steamed. The outcome if something much nice and sticky. Prepared with all original and authentic Chinese sauces and spices which bring the unique taste to the items.

Pork ball soup-  

Can you believe that a hot hearty bowl of soup would just cost you just Rs 50. Yes it’s an aboslite delight to sip Pork meatballs soup that’s simmered in chicken broth with cabbage. Ms. Bobby Wong who is famous for her soup only serves the soup with condiments (black pepper and salted soya sauce) which one can add to their taste. This soup is an absolute comforter 

Momo (steamed and fired) – 

Momo’ or dumpling as we know them, they come They come in both fried and steamed versions, with an option of Pork, Chicken and Fish.  Add them to a bowl of hot steaming bowl of clear soup, spice it up as you choose it with some real Chinese sauces and you can rest assured that you are having one of best. 

Khwai choi pan

They are simple Vegetable Pancakes stuffed with a mix of veggies. Soft fluffy and healthy they are best enjoyed hot n steamed. These pancakes give that burst of freshness. These are pretty good fillers  

Boa’s

The fresh bao’s are a delight. Soft n fluffy filled with meat of your choice and steamed similar to dumpling and served with some condiments you can pair them with a fish ball soup bowl too.

Pork Rolls/Pork Chops

Another interesting dish that I found out was called Chang Yuan Paan or commonly known as vegetable dumplings. Well, these are not the regular veg options of the dumplings, but these are wrapped in bamboo leaves and then steamed. These look very greenish and neat.
