Prime Minister Narendra Modi and some of the top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from across the country are all set to gather for a two-day national executive meeting on July 2 and 3 in Telangana. The leaders will be meeting in Hyderabad, and a renowned cook from Karimnagar is entrusted with the task of preparing an exquisite, pure vegetarian feast that will feature many local delicacies. The lavish lunch is all set to take place on July 3 (Sunday).
Yadamma, a well-noted cook from Karimnagar area would be overseeing the special Telangana menu for the prime minister and other BJP leaders. If you recall, Modi also joined the Royal family of Mysore at the Amba Vilas Palace for a Mysore-special breakfast on the occasion of Yoga Day earlier this month. Now, he would be relishing some of the choice delicacies of Telangana, all of which would be totally Shakahari or pure vegetarian.
The Highlights Of The Menu At The BJP Meet
The Hyderabadi biryani and Haleem are, perhaps, two of the biggest crown jewels of the region’s cuisine, but Telangana also boasts a slew of interesting, vegetarian delicacies too, some of which will also feature in the feast that is all set to be hosted on July 3. Several curries, chutneys and dals are included in the menu apart from breads and rice. The party leaders would get a chance to try local delicacies like Puntikurra Pappu (a lentil preparation with Telangana-special sorrel leaves), Gangavailakura-Mamadikaya Pappu (mango dal), Pachi Pulusu (hot tamarind soup) along with Jonna Rottellu (jowar roti), Pedda Boondi Laddoo (peda and boondi laddoo). In the evening, they will sample Sakinalu (a crispy, rice-flour based snack shaped as a coil), Garelu (a savoury, South Indian lentil doughnut), and Sarvapindi (a crispy pancake) will be served as snacks.
Yadamma has been invited by Chada Suresh Reddy, head of the food committee for BJP National executives to join the chefs at Novotel for a test run on June 29.
