Making the most mangoes this summer season, here are a few recipes that can get you started on the King of fruits.
1. Mango Mousse Cake
Creamy, soft and indulgent, that is the best way to describe this mango mousse cake. The base is that of a buttery cake, followed by a layer of mango mousse and finally a colourful strawberry jelly to top it all. This three-layer cake is a hassle-free and delicious way to use mangoes.
2. Mango Custard Falooda
Falooda, for the unversed, is a dessert of Mughlai origin that consists of noodles like vermicelli. The falooda is flavoured in a variety of ways, like with sweet and thick mango custard in this recipe. Served in a glass with loads of mango cubes on top, it is a heavenly treat.
3. Mango Coconut Barfi
The simple and crumbly coconut barfi is a regular. Twisting things up a little will give you a delectable mango-flavoured coconut barfi. The dessicated coconut is mixed with mango pulp and set in the fridge. Then cut into pieces, you can enjoy your fruity barfi.
