The platform keeps coming up with new features to make the lives of customers a little easier. But this time, it did something different. Swiggy created a Guinness World Record by successfully delivering 11,000 vada pavs in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Swiggy Delivers 11,000 Vada Pavs In Mumbai
This unique record was made in collaboration with the Singham Again team, Representing the team were Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn at the venue of the celebration. There was an ulterior motive attached to this accomplishment.
Reportedly, the 11,000 vada pavs were delivered to children from the Robin Hood Army, an NGO known to fight hunger through plenty of food distribution across Mumbai. The orders were placed at MM Mithaiwala, the iconic vada pav joint in the City of Dreams.
The food joint used Swiggy’s latest feature - Swiggy XL Fleet which is supposed to make bulk delivery a seamless experience. By collaborating with the Singham Again crew, a large number of vada pavs were delivered across Robin Hood Army-supported schools in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East (Chandivali and Chakala), Malad, and Borivali.
Swiggy delivered the first order at Airport High School & Junior College in Vile Parle, where Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan received the order, creating a Guinness World Record for the largest number of Vada pavs delivered in a single order.
