Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's recent Twitter interaction with Swiggy has left the audience in awe. On Khan's #AskSRK panel, when the actor was asked if he had eaten, SRK hilariously replied saying, "Kyun bhai aap Swiggy se ho….bhej doge kya?? (Are you from Swiggy, will you be sending food over?)".
Known for their humorous memes and Twitter banter Swiggy replied to Khan's tweet: "Hum hain Swiggy se, bhej dein kya???" They later in fact did end up sending food with 7 delivery executives over to the superstar's Mumbai mansion Mannat.
While the Twitter thread has caught the attention of netizens, a lot of them found this banter quite entertaining and added their two cents as memes and tweet replies.
Food delivery app Zomato, which is Swiggy's direct competitor, also does not leave any stone unturned in marking its presence on social media. In the past, the app has attracted a lot of social media attention through its quirky one-liner status or topical memes. Here is a look at the top 7 moments when Swiggy and Zomato left us in splits with their social media game:
1) When Zomato decided to hop on the new meme trend and posted this tweet for all our spicy pani puri lovers. The tweet read, "pani puri itni teekhi banao, 4 log rotey hue sukhi puri maange"
2) When Swiggy subtly called us all out for not sticking to our diets with a meme of a cat. The caption read: "Me facing the person who’s responsible for breaking my diet"
3) When Zomato shared a hilarious chat of a man trying to gift his girlfriend a bouquet but just could not express it in words. Zomato wrote in the caption, "Buffet hi dedo bhai."
4) During the cricket season, when Swiggy mentioned the number of orders they received for jalebi and fafda and claimed that half of those were from Gokuldham society.
5) When Zomato wished Mukesh Ambani a "Happy Birthday" in their own humorous style highlighting their promo code discount schemes on the app.
6) When Swiggy shared the relatable moment of having cold water to beat the heat but not wanting to fill the bottles and keep them in the fridge.
7) When Zomato shared a picture from the NMACC event of Tom Holland and Zendaya posing with Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Nita Ambani, and captioned it with the most relatable feeling that we all have at restaurants. "Me and my friends hoping that the waiter is finally bringing our order," their tweet read.
