1. Corn Pakodas
This corn pakoda is a delectable easy snack that you can pair up with adrak wali chai—the perfect combo for your yummy shaam.
Ingredient:
- 2 cups sweet corn kernels (boiled)
- 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp dried mango powder
- 1 cup rice flour
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, to deep fry
Method:
Take a large bowl, mix all the ingredients, except oil and knead it into a thick batter or dough that can deep fry. Heat the oil in a kadhai, slip tiny bite-size morsels into the oil one by one. Cook until it turns golden brown and crisp. Serve hot with chai, sauce, green chutney, or mayonnaise.
2. Bombay Toast
This toast is a quick solution for your hunger pangs. The sandwich is full of veggies and nutrients—a delicious, fuss-free snack for evening tea.
Ingredients:
- Slices of bread
- 50 gm butter
- 1 medium-size onion (peeled & thinly sliced)
- 1 medium-size cucumber (peeled & thinly sliced)
- 1 capsicum (thinly, sliced)
- 1 medium-size tomato (thinly, sliced)
- 1 medium potato (boiled, thinly sliced)
- 4 tbsp mint chutney
- Salt, to taste
- Chaat masala, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Method:
Butter the slices of bread, put a coat of mint chutney on it. Put sliced boiled potatoes, cucumber, onion, capsicum, tomatoes, and season with salt, pepper, and chaat masala. Cover the bread with butter on a slice. Heat the non-stick tawa and toast the sandwich on both sides with butter until crispy and brown. Serve this sandwich with tomato ketchup.
