Bollywood actress Disha Patani, who was recently in Mathura at Wildlife SOS’s Elephant Conservation and Care Centre, was spotted chopping up watermelons and papaya to make smoothies for the elephants in the sanctuary. She paid a visit to the sanctuary to raise awareness surrounding elephant protection and conservation after she was moved by stories of their previously cruel living conditions and bad treatment. She celebrated World Environment Day by spending time around these gentle giants and their keepers, understanding and gaining insights into their everyday lives.

Dressed down in a black crop top and grey pants, Disha was all smiles as she cut and collected the fruits in large buckets and filled up hollow bamboo stems with horse gram, to feed the animals a snack. She also displayed some mastery with her knife skills as she chopped some of the fruit with one hand. Disha also posted a video to her Instagram sharing the experience and captioned the post ‘Suzy smoothie’, as an ode to the elephant she helped in making smoothies for.
