Speaking particularly about beverages, teas, coffee, soups, turmeric milk, hot chocolate and ginger brew are some of the top preferences of this season. Cocktails are another popular drink that can keep you warm during winter. Made with liqueurs, mixers, spirits, juices and garnishes, these mixed drinks are perfect for all kinds of celebrations. 

So, if you are looking for some exciting cocktails to amp up your winter celebrations, here are six pumpkin-spiced cocktails for you: 

Pumpkin Spiced White Russian

Ingredients 

For The Rim 

  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 
  • 3 tablespoon crushed graham crackers

For The Drink 

  • 2 oz. vodka 
  • 1 oz. Kahlua 
  • 1 1/2 oz. pumpkin spice creamer 
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish 

Method 

To make the rim 

  • On a plate, combine pumpkin pie spice and crushed graham crackers. Dip the edge of each cocktail glass in water, then put it into the mixture, coating the edge of the glass. 

For the drink 

  • Pour vodka and Kahlua into the prepared glasses. Fill it with ice and top with creamer.  
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve immediately. 

Pumpkin Old Fashioned 


Ingredients 

  • 1/2-ounce pumpkin syrup 
  • 2 dashes orange bitters 
  • 1 orange wedge 
  • 2 ounces bourbon 
  • 1 splash club soda  
  • Garnish: cinnamon stick 

Method 

  • Add the pumpkin syrup, orange bitter and orange wedge into an Old-Fashioned glass and muddle gently. 
  • Add the bourbon, an ice cube and club soda.  
  • Stir gently with the cinnamon stick and serve. 

Pumpkin Spice Martini 

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup ice cubes 
  • 1.5 fluid ounce jigger vanilla flavoured vodka  
  • 1.5 fluid ounce jigger Irish cream liqueur  
  • 1.5 fluid ounce jigger pumpkin flavored liqueur   
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon 
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg 

Method 

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vanilla-flavoured vodka, Irish cream liqueur, and pumpkin-flavoured liqueur over ice.  
  • Cover and shake until chilled. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg. Enjoy. 

Pumpkin Spice Margarita 

Ingredients 

  • 1-ounce fresh lime juice 
  • 1-ounce fresh lemon juice 
  • 2 ounces tequila 
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin puree  
  • 0.5-ounce Cointreau  
  • Ice 
  • Cinnamon sugar for garnish 
  • Orange slice cut in half, for garnish 
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish 
  • Pumpkin pie spice for garnish 

Method 

  • Dip the rim of a cocktail glass into some lemon juice and then into cinnamon sugar. Keep it aside. 
  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker and pour in the lime juice, lemon juice, tequila, pumpkin puree, and Cointreau.  
  • Shake vigorously until chilled. Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. Garnish with half of an orange slice, a cinnamon stick, and a pinch of cinnamon and serve immediately.

Ingredients 

  • 1 cup ice 
  • 2 oz vodka 
  • ½ oz coffee liqueur  
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso  
  • 1 oz pumpkin sauce  
  • Whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice - optional; for topping 

Method 

  • Add vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and pumpkin sauce to cocktail shaker filled with ice. 
  • Shake vigorously until chilled or for 10-15 seconds. Pour into cocktail glass. 
  • Top whipped cream and pumpkin pie spice and enjoy. 

Pumpkin Spice Hot Toddy 

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups water 
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin spice syrup, divided 
  • 4 cinnamon sticks, divided 
  • 4 orange slices, divided 
  • 6-8 ounces bourbon 

Method 

  • In a saucepan, add water, 1/4 cup pumpkin spice syrup, 2 cinnamon sticks and 2 orange slices. Bring it to a boil. 
  • Remove the pan from the heat and keep it aside for about 5 minutes.  
  • Pour in the bourbon and the remaining pumpkin spice syrup and serve in mugs along with the garnish of a cinnamon stick and an orange slice.
