Simone Ashley, the breakout star of Netflix’s Bridgerton, was spotted getting a behind-the scenes glimpse of the bustling kitchen of London-based restaurant, Darjeeling Express. The actress, who was dressed in a bright orange blazer dress spent some quality time with Indian-born, British restaurateur Asma Khan, and the staff in the kitchens, getting a piece of the real action that goes on, while diners enjoy the experience. Khan took to her social media to share photographs of Simone, keenly looking over the shoulder of one of the chefs preparing a meal.

She also posed with the kitchen staff for pictures and was seen hugging Khan in one of the photos that were shared. Khan captioned the glimpses of pictures shared, saying, “The magical @simoneashley in our @darjeelingldn kitchen last night! The girls were so thrilled to meet her- Rashmi one of our more senior chefs remarked “achi ghar ki larki hain” (she comes from a good family/upbringing) this is the highest compliment. Simone was gracious, humble and so loving when she met all the chefs!”

Asma Khan, who was the star of the Netflix show, Chef’s Table, was the brain behind one of London’s bustling restaurants – Darjeeling Express. The hotspot that reopened earlier in January this year, at the same spot where they first opened in Carnaby’s Kingly Court, has been known for more than just its delicious offerings like paneer korma, Badami baingan, prawn malaikari and more. Khan, who prides herself in running an all-female enterprise, has had a repertoire of celebrity visitors that includes Paul Rudd, Anil and Sonam Kapoor as well as TV host-cookbook author, Nigella Lawson.
