Just like he puts his heart and soul into his work, he seems to treat his foodie adventures the same way. As per reports, he is shooting for his upcoming movie, Dhadak 2.
Showing off his foodie side, Siddhant Chaturvedi recently shared a traditional Bihari delicacy, Litti Chokha, on his Instagram handle. Captioned as “Litti Chokha (Futehri), the actor’s Instagram story features an authentic brass plate filled with Litti, Chokha, raw chopped onions, whole green chillies, and a small serving of green-coloured chutney placed with a glass of water.
The rather popular traditional food features Litti, the small balls made with whole wheat flour. But the essence of Litti lies in its filling, which is usually made with a mixture of sattu, ginger, green chillies, and coriander leaves. The superfood, sattu, is what makes litti choka a highly nutritious street food.
The other part of the Bihari dish is Chokha, which literally translates to “mash.” It is a flavourful side made with roasted vegetables like baingan (eggplant), potatoes, tomatoes, onions, and chillies with a blend of herbs and spices. The smoky and spicy flavours perfectly complement littis.
Even though litti chokha is a typical street food, due to its increased popularity, you can not only find roadside vendors selling the dish, but you can also have a taste in restaurants. So, if you are in Bihar, you must give the regional dish, litti chokha a try.
