Ingredients: 

1 cup Phool makhana 

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp pepper powder 

1 tsp turmeric powder 

1 tbsp ghee 

Method: Put the makhana in a hot pan. Dry roast them at a low temperature for ten minutes. Now stir in the turmeric, salt, and pepper. Take 5 minutes to sauté everything together. Crunchy and spiced makhana is ready. Mix it with roasted peanuts, and fried curry leaves.  

Makhana Aloo Tikki 

Spicy and flavorful, Makhana Aloo Tikki is another great option for a snack. This dish is perfect for a quick and easy appetiser. Ingredients: 

1 cup mashed boiled potatoes 

1 cup Phool Makhana dry roasted 

1 tsp green chili chopped 

1 tsp fennel seeds 

1 tsp roasted and crushed peanuts 

½ cup coriander leaves chopped 

1 tsp chaat masala 

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp garam masala 

Oil 

Method: In a bowl, crush the dry-roasted makhana. Next, one by one, put in the potatoes, coriander leaves, and spices. Combine them thoroughly. Make little cutlets out of the mixture now. Put some oil in a hot pan. Shallow fry the cutlets until they become a golden brown colour all over. You can now enjoy the Makhana Aloo Tikki. 

Makhana Curry  

This Phool makhana curry can be made in a number of different ways. This curry goes well with puri, but you can serve it with anything you choose.  

Ingredients: 

1 cup Phool Makhana 

half cup tomato puree 

1 tsp green chili paste 

1 tbsp ginger paste 

2 tbsp ghee 

1 tsp cumin seeds 

1 tsp asafoetida 

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp turmeric powder 

1 tbsp cream 

2 tbsp coriander leaves 

Method: in a heated pan and add some ghee. To this add the makhana and roast them until crispy. In another pan heat the rest of the ghee, add cumin seeds and asafoetida and let them splutter. Next, add the ginger paste and stir it on low flame, add the tomato puree, green chili paste, salt, turmeric powder, and a half cup of water. Mix it well and cook 5 minutes. Now add cream and half a cup of water. Cover the lid and let them simmer for 5 minutes. Now add the roasted makhana. Its ready! 

Makhana Raita 

Makhana Raita is a delicious and nutritious raita that is easy to make. You can serve this raita as a side dish. Take a look at the raita recipe and whip up a batch to go with your favourite dish, whether it's biriyani, fried rice, or something else. 

Ingredients: 

1 cup curd 

1/2 cup Phool makhana 

1 tsp red chili powder 

1 tsp cumin powder 

1 tsp garam masala powder 

1 tsp salt 

1 tsp ghee 

Method: Heat ghee in a pan. Roast the makhanas nicely on low flame for 10 minutes till crispy. Transfer it to a bowl. In a separate bowl add some curd, roasted makhana, salt, cumin powder, red chili powder, and garam masala powder. Mix them nicely and serve.  

Makhana Kheer  

This kheer recipe calls for both milk and makhana, and it's incredibly simple and simple to make. Everyone should try this recipe for nutritious kheer. 

Ingredients:  

1 cup makhana 

2 cup milk 

1 tbsp ghee 

1 tbsp almonds chopped 

1/2 cup sugar 

1 tsp cardamom powder 

1 tsp saffron 

Method: Put some ghee in a hot pan. Toss in the makhana, and roast them until they're nice and crispy. Take half a cup of the roasted makhana and grind it into a fine powder. Bring milk, makhana powder, saffron, sugar, and cardamom to a boil in a pot. After stirring, cover the pot and let the ingredients simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle the roasted makhana and almonds over the top, and serve.
