Sachin Tendulkar might have retired from cricket, but his legendary scores and performances on the field are still remembered by one and all. The Master Blaster, on the other hand, is a champion not only on the cricket field but also in the kitchen. He has cooked delicious meals for himself and his family on several occasions.

On the Makar Sankranti festival, Sachin tried his hands at making the quintessential sweet meat, til-gud ladoos, or sesame and jaggery ladoos, for the first time. The spherical sweet balls are a must-have during this festival, especially for Maharashtrians, and Sachin’s attempt can also be given a 5-star rating. He posted a reel on his Instagram handle, showing us the step-by-step process of making these heavenly delights.

He began by roasting the sesame seeds in a pan on low heat. Then he added fried gram, grated dry coconut, and deskinned groundnuts. After lightly toasting them, he took them off the heat and made syrup from jaggery and ghee in another pan. He then combined the syrup with the roasted ingredients and mixed it really well. After cooling down the blended mixture, he rolled it into bite-sized spheres between the palms of his hands before shifting it to the serving bowl.

Finally, he tasted one of them and uttered, "Til gud ghya god god bola," which means "eat the sesame-jaggery sweet and speak well" in Marathi. He captioned the reel by saying, "My first attempt at making sesame." While he enjoyed the sweet meat to the core, it looked absolutely delicious.

Apart from cooking, he loves eating out too. When he was in Rajasthan, he shared a big breakfast plate that had kachoris and samosas paired with a whole host of chutneys and relishes, accompanied by Malai lassi. Another time in Goa, he shared a delicious local breakfast that he savoured at a small eatery in the state.
