Although you can readily find roasted pumpkin seeds in your local store or online, why spend money on something that contains preservatives when you can easily produce them at home and guarantee the quality and originality of the product?

Method

When you split open a pumpkin fruit, you'll find these minuscule white seeds inside. They are caught in the web of pulpy strands. Look over everything and give the seeds a good soak. The pulp will split out if you soak it in water for a time, and the pumpkin seeds will float to the top. The seeds can be removed once they have been cleaned. They should be spread out and allowed to air dry on a flat surface. Keep them out for as long as you can since they will roast more flavorfully the drier they are. Peeling the seeds is necessary once they have dried. This procedure is optional and can also be omitted. The seed will crack open if you pinch it at the sharp end. You can take the seed out and peel the fruit. Now preheat a pan with some butter, ghee, or olive oil in it. Simply stir in a teaspoon of one of these oils before adding the pumpkin seeds. They should be roasted until golden brown. Your roasted pumpkin seeds will be ready when you turn off the heat and add some salt and pepper to the seeds. Allow them to cool and they are ready to have.

Storing Tip

If you intend to consume them within a month, simply keep them at room temperature in an airtight container. After that, keep it in the refrigerator for up to three months. For up to 6 months, freeze in a freezer-safe bag or container.
