One of my fondest childhood memories is snuggling up in a warm comforter, munching on snacks and binge-watching Doraemon on winter afternoons. Because I was enrolled in a day school and evening tuitions, I always missed out on the Doraemon movies and got a chance to watch the missed episodes during the holidays. And the fun of watching Doraemon during winters was next level. The comforting homemade fried snacks, hot chocolate and the cozy blanket were my constant companions. Along with the unique and exciting gadgets, the thing that appealed to my foodie's heart the most was Dora cakes. Just like Doraemon, I used to feel that Doracakes were all I needed when I was low.

As I grew up, although time and situations didn't permit me to watch Doraemon anymore, my heart constantly craved the visually tempting cakes. The spongy exterior, the chocolatey center and the fluffy texture of the cakes altogether made me impatient to try the cakes. Hence, after a lot of Google and YouTube browsing, I came across an easy recipe to make Doracakes at home. And trust me when I say this, I couldn't get over the unique texture and complementing flavours of the cakes for days.

As Christmas is barely a week away, I know you are scrounging through the internet for unique dishes to add to your Christmas menu. And personally speaking, there isn't anything better than making your family and friends go down their memory lanes in this joyous festival. Hence, Doracakes must be on your menu for a drool-worthy feast.

The fluffy, spongy and airy sandwiches are filled with an Oreo and cream filling and an absolute delight to devour. For the pancakes, add all-purpose flour, milk powder, caster sugar, vanilla essence, baking soda, milk, vinegar and oil to make a smooth batter. Measure the batter in cups to pour on the pan for equally-sized and evenly cooked pancakes. After the pancakes are cooled properly, add the Oreo and cream filling between the two pancakes. For the filling, add 200 grams whipped cream and 15-20 chopped Oreo biscuits and whip it to make a smooth mixture. Add the filling generously and press the edges of the pancakes to give them the shape of Dora cakes.

So, this Christmas, amaze your guests with these ever-tempting and delicious pancakes that are all things fun and indulgent.
