Here are a few breakfast recipes that you can try at home.

1.   Rava Paniyaram 

Made with a combination of rava, rice flour, and poha, the crispy balls are a great breakfast treat. Mix in the buttermilk or yoghurt and baking soda until well combined. Once a thick paste is formed, add curry leaves, coriander, dill, and other spices, etc. Pour a scoop of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

2.   Rava Dhokla  

The traditional Gujarati snack and breakfast dish is a culinary delight. The tangy, square-shaped cubes, usually made of besan, can be made with rava too. Mixed with curd, a smooth batter is formed that is flavoured with ginger and green chilli paste. The dhokla is then steamed and tempered with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and hing.

3.   Rava Vada  

The vadas are made with semolina or rava. Add curd, onion, chopped capsicum, coriander leaves, and carrot. Fry the vadas in hot oil until they acquire a crispy texture. 4.   Rava Uttapam  

For the uninitiated, uttapam is a South Indian pancake that is usually made with rice and urad dal batter and chopped veggies like tomatoes, onions, green chillies, etc. The uttapam with rava, aka semolina batter, is a pleasant twist to the usual. It needs to be flipped and cooked on both sides, just like any uttapam. Once done, it will have a slightly brownish top, and that's when it can be taken off the heat. Serve it hot with sambhar and coconut chutney.

5.   Rava Dosa  

Dosa, a South Indian crepe that is a breakfast staple in many parts of the region, can be prepared in various ways. From jowar and bajra dosa to rava dosa, there are numerous options available. The batter is cooked to a crisp, thin consistency on a tawa, and can be filled with a spicy potato mixture to create a tasty rava masala dosa.
