Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities in Jamnagar, Gujarat, are in full swing as images and videos from day three celebrations are going viral on social media. From Shreya Ghoshal to Arijit Singh, the Khans to actors like Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, it was a gala night that celebrities, industrialists, and Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani and their family enjoyed thoroughly. 

While the glimpses from the ramp walk and dandiya night are making rounds on the internet, it is chef Surabhi Sehgal, a plant-forward chef, who caught everyone’s attention. She is known for crafting unique and delicious dishes out of ordinary ingredients that are often found in the kitchens of every household.

The chef was in Jamnagar cautiously curating the vegan menu of pre-wedding festivities. While it’s not clear for which day the menu was assorted, she shared a glimpse into the plant-based ingredients that were part of an array of delectables. Sharing a few images on her Instagram, the chef wrote, “Thank you Jamnagar for the memories, experiences and learnings of a lifetime! Grateful and blessed!! 🧿Will be taking back a plethora of memories and some wonderful new friendships.”

Here are a few ingredients that the guests relished at the pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar.

Beetroot

The chef took her fans to a farm, where was seen enjoying harvesting beetroot, a vegetable that is considered rich in pigment, fibre, and other nutrients. It is often used not only to add natural colour to the dish but also to make the recipe healthier.

Coconut

While enjoying cookies with a cup of tea, the chef clicked an image of an A4 sheet that had a few ingredients listed. Among them was a coconut-based dish that listed coconut, cucumber, oil, ginger, roasted chana dal, hing (asafoetida), green chillies, and a few other ingredients. While the chef kept the name of the dish hidden, the ingredients confirmed that it was a savoury recipe in which every bite was a burst of flavour in the mouth.

Keema

Among an array of dishes that were included in the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, soy keema was among them. According to the above image, the top showed that the chef added soy keema to the menu for vegans. The star ingredient in the dish is considered an excellent source of protein and helps to manage weight and blood sugar levels in the body.

Red Chilli

Those who think that the vegan menu is bland should take a hard look at the glimpses shared by the chef from the celebrations currently being hosted by the Ambani family in Jamnagar. In the carousel from the pre-wedding venue was an image of a red chilli pepper that looked quite similar to Khola (found in Goa) or mundu (grown in Tamil Nadu) chillies.

Mint

An ingredient that added a blast of fresh flavours to the vegan menu was mint leaves. Not only are these leaves good for your oral health but also help to experience relief from indigestion and symptoms of seasonal allergies.

Filter Coffee

One image shared by Chef Su gave her fans a sneak peek into the vegan menu for either breakfast or snacks. The table had a glass of filter coffee and vegan pancake served with coconut chutney, green chutney, and red chutney.
