Brazilian cuisine is an amalgamation of various cooking practices and traditions and is characterized by European, Amerindian, African, and Asian influences. The immigrant populations have had a significant effect on regional cuisines.

There is no exact single national Brazilian cuisine, but certain ingredients are common in all the different types of regional dishes. The dish feijoada which is a hearty stew of black beans, sausages and cuts of pork served with side dishes is considered the country's national dish.

Some regional foods include beiju, eijão tropeiro, vatapá, moqueca capixaba, polenta and acarajé, and the national beverage happens to be coffee.
