Monday is gone, and this week, after all, Valentine's Day celebrations, I want to stay at home. But as it's Tuesday, aka my vegetarian day. So, why not make it unforgettable with some restaurant-like homemade treats. While eating out, my foremost preference is Chinese cuisine, as its irresistible and tangy savours are drool-worthy. What could be better than easy and quick manchurian recipes? So, let's make our Tuesdays better with this devouring Chinese dish.

Gobi Manchurian

Ingredients:

  1. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  2. Red chilli sauce - 2 teaspoon
  3. Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
  4. Soy sauce - 2 teaspoon
  5. Corn flour - 2 teaspoon
  6. Capsicum - 1 chopped
  7. Flour - 3 teaspoons
  8. Onion - 1 chopped
  9. Vinegar - 2 tsp
  10. Oil for frying
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Cabbage - 1
  13. Onion - 1

Method:

  1. First, clean the cabbage thoroughly, cut it and put it in a vessel
  2. Add all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, salt, water, and mix well; add the cabbage pieces to it
  3. Now, put oil in the pan and fry the cabbage well on medium flame
  4. After this, heat oil, add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, finely chopped capsicum, onion and fry them well in a pan
  5. Put vinegar, all the sauces and fry cabbage in it

Veg Manchurian

Ingredients:

  1. Capsicum - 1 finely chopped
  2. Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
  3. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  4. Cabbage - 1 cup grated
  5. Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
  6. Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
  7. Onion - 1 chopped
  8. Salt - as per taste
  9. Soy sauce - 2 tsp
  10. Corn flour - 3 tsp
  11. Flour - 1/2 cup
  12. Oil - 2 tsp

Method:

  1. First, put all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, chilli powder, grated cabbage and water in a vessel and mix well.
  2. Heat oil and fry the mixed cabbage in a pan.
  3. Then, heat oil in another pan, add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, capsicum, salt, and fry it. 
  4. After a while, add all the sauces and cook the masala.
  5. Now, put the fried cabbage in this and after cooking it for about five to seven minutes, turn off the stove.

Paneer Manchurian

Ingredients:

  1. Salt - according to taste
  2. Paneer - 250 grams
  3. Cornflour - 3 tsp
  4. Flour - 2 tsp
  5. Oil - 2 cups

Ingredients for the gravy:      

  1. Capsicum - 1/2 removed
  2. Green chilli - 2 chopped
  3. Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
  4. Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
  5. Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
  6. Onion - 1/2 chopped
  7. Chilli sauce - 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. First, put all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste and salt in a vessel and mix well.
  2. Now, put the shredded paneer in this mixture and keep it aside for 10 to 20 minutes.
  3. Heat oil and fry the marinated paneer in a pan
  4. Heat oil in another pan, add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, onion, capsicum and cook for some time.
  5. Then, add tomato sauce, soy sauce, chilli sauce, salt and mix well
  6. After cooking for a few minutes, add the fried paneer and turn off the gas
  7. Paneer manchurian is ready to serve
